AgVocacy Coalitions, LLC Names Cary Aubrey President, Expanding on His 25+ Years of Leadership in Indiana Agriculture and Energy

Veteran public servant and agricultural leader will strengthen AgVocacy Coalitions’
statewide impact and expand its work in rural engagement, land use, and government
affairs.
AgVocacy Coalitions LLC is proud to announce the appointment of Cary Aubrey as its new
President. Bringing more than 25 years of leadership in agriculture, renewable energy, and rural economic development, Aubrey will guide the organization through the rapidly evolving
landscape of rural land use at the intersection of agriculture and energy.
Aubrey most recently served as Indiana’s Policy Advisor on Bioenergy and Biofuels for the
Indiana Department of Energy, where he oversaw statewide renewable energy programming, federal funding initiatives, and major public-private partnerships. Earlier in his career with the Indiana State Department of Agriculture, he led the nationally recognized BioTown USA initiative, earning the Governor’s Public Service Award for his contributions to biofuels deployment and economic growth in rural Indiana.
In his new role, Aubrey will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Indiana Rural Land Use
Council while expanding stakeholder engagement across agriculture, energy, and rural
development. He will also lead the continued growth of AgVocacy Coalitions by strengthening and broadening its programs and services, including a new focus on government affairs. Founder Sarah Beth Aubrey will remain actively involved in the strategic direction of the company. “We are thrilled to welcome Cary as President,” said Sarah Beth Aubrey, Founder of AgVocacy Coalitions LLC. “His depth of experience is unmatched, and his leadership will be instrumental as we continue growing both the Indiana Rural Land Use Council and AgVocacy Coalitions’ role in shaping Indiana’s agriculture and energy future.” Widely respected for his ability to bring farmers, industry leaders, community stakeholders, and policymakers together, Aubrey has built a career facilitating productive conversations around some of Indiana’s most complex land use and energy issues.

developers, communities, and policymakers,” Aubrey said. “I look forward to expanding
AgVocacy Coalitions’ role in shaping these conversations and strengthening relationships that will benefit rural Indiana for years to come.”
A lifelong advocate for agriculture, Aubrey has been engaged in the industry since his youth. He is co-owner of Aubrey Cattle Company, a nationally recognized purebred beef operation known for innovation in genetics, herd management, and producing numerous national champions. Hehas also served in leadership roles with organizations including the Lugar Center for Renewable
Energy, Drive Clean Indiana, and the Indiana Biomass Working Group.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Aubrey has dedicated much of his career to
developing rural communities and investing in young people. He has mentored numerous
interns, served as an FFA advisor and coach, and taught agricultural education in Indiana for
more than a decade.
