In many sectors, the term ‘climate change’ is frequently considered a one-sided political statement or a term only uttered in hushed circles. We’re ready to change that and talk honestly about real, practical approaches that can be achieved within the energy, agriculture, and food systems realm. Politicizing a word is not a way forward and we aim to change that. So, it’s time to talk and the members of IN-CLIMATE recognize the necessity of collaborating across industries.
IN-CLIMATE
ABOUT IN-CLIMATE
IN-CLIMATE is a growing network of industry professionals representing the food supply chain including the energy, agriculture, and natural resources sectors that work to understand better and ultimately guide the conversation around climate in Indiana. We are focused on building a practical, productive policy that makes sense for our members, customers, and consumers. In our first-of-its-kind group, members become trusted partners that gather for collaborative dialog, educational forums, and information sharing that aims to lead to better decision-making and balanced climate policy.
CONSULTING
Sarah Beth Aubrey, CEO & Founder, brings more than 20 years of agronomic experience to the organization. Her team and member partners are knowledgeable on sustainability issues, particularly those related to climate and soil. Agribusinesses and farmers looking to implement or improve soil preservation practices less dependent on chemical solutions can schedule private consultations, team strategy sessions, or focus groups.
NETWORKING
Our events are part of our difference- we hold conversations about climate and create larger public forums for education and networking with our annual Summit. Joining a network of industry leaders and producers seeking to better understand and discuss the climate conversation is the first step. Step two is building a framework for open dialogue to collaborate around ag as a solution. Our networks are peer-to-peer, industry-leading conversation starters intended to better understand and position you for stakeholder leadership.
EVENTS
IN-CLIMATE conducts educational workshops, strategy sessions, and private consultations throughout the year, culminating in our annual conference, The Indiana Climate Summit. The In-Climate Summit is the only gathering of professionals, producers, and government officials involved in the Midwest's food and energy industries and climate. This event aims to educate, inform, and create a dialogue with the idea of Ag as the Solution. This is an exciting, first-of-its-kind, annual event to use all of the above strategies to develop a practical dialogue on this confusing topic.
Our Story
WHY WE DO WHAT WE DO
By fostering collaboration and innovation across various sectors, we aim to create a sustainable future where food production and environmental stewardship go hand in hand. This involves supporting farmers and producers in adopting regenerative practices that enhance soil health, increase biodiversity, and improve water management. Education and outreach will play a crucial role in this transformation, empowering communities to make informed choices that benefit both people and the planet. Together, we can build a resilient food system that not only meets the nutritional needs of a growing global population but also respects and preserves the natural world for generations to come. Through these efforts, we aspire to inspire a movement that prioritizes ecological balance and social equity, ensuring a thriving world for all.

The climate conversation is happening, it’s growing. More companies are making sustainable practices a requirement, so why isn’t ag and energy leading this? We are truly what makes the world run, we rely on food and power to survive and we have already started implementing sustainability measures. Farms are increasing cover crops, renewable energy access is growing and so are biofuels and ethanol. These sectors of our industry are committing to be a part of the climate conversation, will you be next? Have you considered the climate conversation? The time to get in is now.
